Many of our 3-On-6™ patients live outside Hobart — elsewhere in Tasmania or interstate. We've set up the process so you need only two or three trips. Here's how to plan.
Before you travel
Telehealth consultation
Your first consultation can be a video call. We'll talk through your history and goals, look at any photos or X-rays you have, and explain your options.
CBCT scan near you
We'll refer you for a 3D scan at a dental radiology clinic close to home. The images come straight to us for planning and your quote.
Trip one: surgery (two days)
Day one is for impressions and preparation. On day two, your implants are placed and your fixed temporary bridge is fitted. You'll stay overnight between appointments and can travel home afterwards.
- Book accommodation close to the CBD, a short drive from Warneford St.
- Bring a companion if you can, especially if you're having sedation — you'll need someone to drive you.
- Plan to rest the evening after surgery.
- Pack soft foods, any prescribed medications and your post-operative instructions.
Healing at home
You'll be on a soft diet for the first weeks. Some reviews can be done by telehealth, and we'll tell you who to contact if you have concerns.
Trip two: final teeth
About three months after surgery you'll return for your final zirconia bridges. Occasionally a third visit is needed for fine-tuning.
Call us on 03 6200 8800 to arrange a telehealth consultation. 3-On-6™ consultations are free (normally $150).*
