Complex Cases
Some patients have been told their situation is too difficult — not enough bone, failed previous treatment, or many problems at once. We take time to assess these cases thoroughly and give you an honest view of what can be done.
Thorough assessment, honest advice
Complex cases start with a detailed consultation, CBCT scan and, often, study models and photographs. From there we'll explain what we can treat at our practice, what the risks and trade-offs are, and when you'd be better served by a registered specialist.
Dr Clark Eom is a general dentist with a focus on implant and full-arch treatment. Where a case calls for a specialist — for example zygomatic implants or major jaw reconstruction — we'll refer you and can coordinate your care.
Situations we commonly assess
Limited bone
Bone loss after extractions, gum disease or long-term denture wear. Options may include bone grafting, sinus lifts, angled implants (as in All on 4) or shorter implants, depending on your scan.
Bone graftingSevere gum disease & failing teeth
Multiple loose or infected teeth. We'll look at which teeth can be saved and, where they can't, plan a staged move to implant-supported teeth.
Full-arch optionsProblems with previous implants
Loose or broken bridges, inflamed or bleeding gums around implants, bone loss or implants that have failed. We assess what's salvageable and plan repair, replacement or a new design.
Worn, broken or collapsed bites
Heavy wear, grinding or many missing teeth can change how your bite fits together. Full-mouth rehabilitation may combine crowns, implants and bridges.
