All on 4 FAQs
Straight answers to the questions we're asked most about full-arch implant treatment. If yours isn't here, call us.
How much does All on 4 cost?
All on 4 is quoted per arch after your consultation and scan, because the fee depends on your bone, any extractions and your choice of acrylic or zirconia. 3-On-6™ with zirconia is approximately $34,950 per arch. Payment plans and early release of super may help — see Pricing & Packages.
Will there be any extra costs?
Your written quote lists everything included. The things most likely to be extra are a CBCT scan at an external radiology clinic, bone grafting if it's needed, and travel and accommodation if you're coming from outside Hobart. We'll tell you about any of these before you commit.
What happens if my bridge breaks?
Temporary bridges occasionally crack during healing and are repaired. Final bridges and implants are covered by our 10-year guarantee, provided you attend your recommended check-ups and hygiene visits. See the guarantee terms.
Am I suitable for All on 4?
Most adults with failing teeth or ill-fitting dentures can be considered. Suitability depends on your bone, gum health and general health — particularly diabetes control, smoking and some medications. Your consultation and CBCT scan will confirm whether All on 4, 3-On-6™ or another option suits you.
How long does treatment take?
Usually around three months from surgery to your final bridge. The surgery itself happens over two days in Hobart, and you leave with fixed temporary teeth.
Will my new teeth look natural?
Your bridge is designed around your face, lip line and smile. With All on 4 the pink gum-coloured material may show if you have a high smile line; 3-On-6™ can avoid pink material where bone and gum allow. We'll talk through how your teeth are likely to look before you decide.
Is the surgery safe?
All surgery carries risk. Your implants are planned from a 3D scan to reduce the chance of complications, and we review your medical history carefully beforehand. Possible risks include infection, altered sensation from nerve injury, sinus complications and implant failure.
What is recovery like, and what can I eat?
Expect swelling and discomfort for the first few days, usually managed with over-the-counter pain relief. You'll need a soft diet while your implants heal — typically for around eight weeks — and we'll give you written instructions.
I'm anxious about dental treatment. What can you offer?
Let us know at your consultation. We'll explain each step, plan breaks, and nitrous oxide sedation is available. Ask us about other sedation options for full-arch surgery.
Which implants do you use?
We use established implant systems with long-term clinical research and parts available in Australia. We'll tell you which system is planned for your treatment and give you its details for your records.
